If you are planning to start Amazon Affiliate Marketing but are unsure where to begin, you’re in the right place! In this blog, I will guide you step by step on how to build your Amazon affiliate store using the AmaSync plugin—without requiring Amazon Product Advertising API keys.
AmaSync is a powerful WooCommerce extension that simplifies the process of importing Amazon products into your WooCommerce store. It allows users to add products with or without Amazon API keys, making it a great option for beginners who haven’t yet been approved for API access.

Since Amazon requires at least three qualifying sales before granting access to API keys, many new affiliates face challenges when starting out. But don’t worry! With AmaSync’s Manual Product Entry feature, you can still build your affiliate store and start earning commissions.
In this guide, I will show you exactly how to import Amazon products manually and use them in your blog posts to increase your chances of making those initial sales.
Let’s get started!
Step 1: Register for the Amazon Affiliate Program
If you haven’t already, the first step is to sign up for the Amazon Associates Program. Follow these steps:
- Go to the Amazon Associates website and sign up for an account.
- Complete the registration process by providing your website details, preferred payment method, and other necessary information.
- Once your account is approved, you will receive a Tracking ID (e.g.,
themedyno-20
). This tracking ID is essential for earning commissions on referred sales.
Step 2: Install WooCommerce on Your Website
To create an affiliate store, you need an eCommerce platform, and WooCommerce is the best choice for WordPress users. If you haven’t installed it yet, follow these steps:
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Navigate to Plugins > Add New and search for WooCommerce.
- Click Install Now, then Activate the plugin.
- Complete the WooCommerce setup wizard to configure your store settings.
Once WooCommerce is set up, you’re ready to install the AmaSync plugin.
Step 3: Install the AmaSync Plugin
AmaSync is a premium plugin available on CodeCanyon that helps you import Amazon products effortlessly. Here’s how to install it:
- Purchase and download the latest version of AmaSync from CodeCanyon.
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
- Click Choose File, select the AmaSync
.zip
file, and hit Install Now. - After installation, click Activate to enable the plugin.
Congratulations! You are now ready to start importing Amazon products into your WooCommerce store.
Step 4: Import Amazon Products Without API Keys
If you’re just starting out with Amazon Affiliate Marketing, you likely don’t have API keys yet. That’s completely fine! You can still manually import products into your store using AmaSync’s Manual Product Entry feature.
Follow these simple steps:
1. Open the AmaSync Import Tab
- In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to AmaSync > Import.
- Select Manual Product Entry and click Next.
2. Find a Product on Amazon
- Open a new browser tab and visit Amazon.
- Search for the product you want to promote and open its product page.
3. Copy the Product URL
- Copy the entire URL of the Amazon product from your browser’s address bar.
- Go back to the AmaSync Manual Product Entry form and paste it into the Product URL field.

4. Add Product Details
- Copy the Product Name and Product Description from Amazon.
- Paste them into the respective fields in AmaSync.

Important:
Do NOT add product prices manually. Amazon requires affiliates to regularly update prices, and this process is automated only when you have API access. Until you get your API keys, it’s best to leave the price field empty to comply with Amazon’s guidelines.
5. Add the Product Image
- Right-click on the product image on Amazon and select Copy Image Address.
- Paste the image URL into the Primary Image URL field in AmaSync.
Note: We are not uploading images directly to our store, as per Amazon’s affiliate guidelines. Instead, we use the image URL from Amazon.

6. Choose a Category & Add Your Tracking ID
- Select the appropriate category for your product in your WooCommerce store.
- Enter your Amazon Affiliate Tracking ID in the designated field.

7. Save the Product
- Click the Save button, and that’s it!
- You have successfully imported an Amazon product into your WooCommerce store.
Repeat the process to add more products to your store. The more products you add, the higher your chances of making sales and getting API approval!

Step 5: Promote Your Imported Products in Blog Posts
Now that you have products in your store, it’s time to drive traffic and generate sales. One of the best ways to do this is by writing blog posts that feature your affiliate products.
How to Write an Effective Blog Post:
- Choose a Topic: Write about something related to the products you’ve imported.
- Include Product Recommendations: Utilize WooCommerce blocks such as Single Product or Products by Category to seamlessly showcase Amazon products in your posts. AmaSync will automatically embed your Amazon Tracking ID in all product links, enabling you to earn commissions effortlessly.
- Optimize for SEO: Use keywords to improve search engine rankings and attract organic traffic.
- Share on Social Media: Promote your blog posts on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest to reach a wider audience.
By following these steps, you can increase your chances of making at least three qualifying sales, which is necessary to unlock full API access.
